Qualified to degree and post-graduate level in banking and financial services, Neil joined TSB’s graduate program where he held a number of positions including a secondment to the Group Chief Executive’s Office at the time of the Lloyds/TSB merger. Following a period in the Lloyds Corporate and Institutional Banking Division, he joined the West Bromwich Building Society, managing their lending centre in Manchester before relocating to undertake various management roles in the Society’s Principal Office. He subsequently held management positions within BNP Paribas’ insurance divisions, including an international role based out of Paris, before returning to the UK to work in the mergers and acquisitions team.
From late 2007 Neil was part of a small team of investors that acquired and managed a portfolio of companies including a specialist finance house. He then joined the Primary Asset Finance team in 2014 having worked with the business on several projects in previous years. Neil’s focus is now on sales support and deal management.
‘Of course, we provide funding solutions for our clients and can do more complicated types of deals as well. But the other aspect of the business is being a sort of sounding board for our clients. Doing a good job, building up trust and providing that friendly voice at the end of the phone.
